Born Sharon Sibert, Sheron is a multifaceted, South African-based artist, producer, and sound engineer who brings over 40 years of profound passion and 30 years of deep professional expertise to his work.
His unique musical journey began in Israel, where he was raised, before he immigrated to South Africa in 1995. Upon arriving, he quickly established himself as a highly versatile musician capable of navigating a wide range of genres and live performance settings.
Sheron’s career first hit a major upward trajectory as a key member of the band X-Over. Operating between 1996 and 2004, the group toured extensively across South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana, eventually taking their sound to international stages in Hong Kong and China. Known for his technical mastery of multiple instruments -including vocals, guitar, bass, drums, and keys – he has performed thousands of live gigs and contributed to an impressive number of collaborative projects over the decades.
Sheron: A Proven Performer and Industry Veteran
His extensive repertoire spans everything from 1950s pop classics to modern contemporary hits, making Sheron a highly sought-after artist for diverse audiences. His solo career has also yielded significant chart success; his debut single, “Hello It’s Us,” climbed to number 11 on the South African Top 40 charts in 2021, followed by his second single, “I Know,” which successfully broke into the top 30.
Beyond his solo work, Sheron has collaborated with a host of renowned local and international artists, including Watershed, Amersham, Dr. Victor, and Dilana. He has graced high-profile stages, including a notable performance for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa.
