On the 1st of March, the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth Racecourse in Cape Town was electrified by the sheer magnitude of the event. Attendees were mesmerised by the high-caliber production, the dynamic range of sounds, and the relentless energy that pulsed through the venue.

The momentum continued in Johannesburg on the 2nd of March with a refreshed layout and event production that exceeded all expectations.

In a memorable moment, Steve Aoki brought out local sensations Major League DJz and Moonchild Sanelly to premiere new music, infusing his set with an irresistible African twist. The energy continued to surge when Steve Aoki and Afrojack united on the Main Stage and gave fans a performance of their new Afroki collaboration, ‘Everything You Do’ featuring Aviella.

ULTRA South Africa’s status as a premier destination for dance music aficionados was further cemented by hard-hitting Main Stage performances in both cities, including Skrillex’s incendiary closing set and W&W’s high-octane showcase.

Both cities also saw the RESISTANCE Stage serve up a bevy of house and techno beats, headlined by Brazilian underground juggernaut Vintage Culture, with additional pulsating performances from Shimza, Melé, Da Capo B2B Kitty Amor, and JAIIME.

Meanwhile, The Smirnoff Storm Room Stage was buzzing with activity, and saw electrifying performances from DBN Gogo, Kabza De Small, 2wobunnies, Kelvin Momo, Kooldrink, Lelowhatsgood, Musa Keys, Oscar Mbo, Sio, Thakzin, and Tyler ICU.

The Club House Stage created a diverse musical experience by serving up nonstop beats from DJ Buhle, Jevan Binder, Kasango, Lazarusman, Naak, Timo ODV, Trancemicsoul, Tristan Urwin, Vimo, Darque, Das Kapital, and Roger Goode B2B Kyle Cassim.

As always, ULTRA South Africa proudly spotlighted homegrown talent, celebrating the rich diversity of South African music. The festival’s commitment to promoting and celebrating South African talent not only adds a unique flavour to the event, but also reinforces ULTRA South Africa’s dedication to fostering and uplifting the local music industry.

ULTRA South Africa has firmly established itself as a monumental highlight on South Africa’s entertainment calendar, pushing boundaries and setting new standards for music festivals worldwide.

ULTRA South Africa has once again proved that it is not just a music festival; it is a beacon of unity, diversity, and unparalleled musical experiences, setting the stage for an even bigger and more explosive event in 2025.
