Audiomack is strengthening its dedication to South Africa, expanding on its strong foundation in one of the globe’s most dynamic and influential music hubs.
South Africa has always been a cornerstone of Audiomack’s global network. By championing a wide array of local genres – from Amapiano, Maskandi, and 3-Step to hip-hop, R&B, and Afropop – the platform has created vital spaces for South African artists to be heard by fans both at home and abroad.

This commitment shines through Audiomack’s growing lineup of localized playlists, such as “Hometown Heroes: South Africa”, “Afro House”, “New Releases: Amapiano”, and “SA Hip Hop”. These curated hubs give listeners a dedicated space to explore the diverse musical landscape of Mzansi, from rising stars to established icons.
In 2026, Audiomack has continued to place South African talent at the forefront of its discovery engines
Artists including Sjava, Mawelele, Naledi Aphiwe, Lordkez, DJ Lag, Babalwa M, and Jazzwrld have received significant editorial backing across the platform’s initiatives. Sjava, for instance, was heavily supported during the rollout of his latest album, “Inkanyezi NeZinkanyezi”.
Meanwhile, Mawelele, Naledi Aphiwe, and Lordkez were proudly highlighted in the Audiomack African Artists to Watch 2026 selection, proving the platform’s dedication to the voices shaping the future of African music.
Late last year, Audiomack also rolled out a vibrant Zulu music campaign celebrating the richness of genres like Maskandi, Gqom, Afropop, and Hip-Hop.
The initiative introduced dedicated playlists giving different styles their own spotlight, including “iSginci” for Maskandi, “iGqom” for Gqom, and “iSizwe SakwaZulu” for a broader mix. Featuring acts like Zee Nxumalo, Khuzani, Aubrey Qwana, and Umlabalaba, the campaign helped fans discover both pioneers and newcomers pushing Zulu music forward.
Beyond digital curation, Audiomack actively backs live cultural moments, such as supporting the DBN Gogo 24hrs Set, partnering with Elaine for Soft Girl Sundae, and facilitating new ways for local artists to connect with their audiences.
“South Africa has always been one of the most exciting music markets in the world,” shares Charlotte Bwana, Vice President of Marketing at Audiomack. She notes that countless artists use the platform to build their fanbases globally, emphasizing the brand’s mission to invest in the local ecosystem and ensure the next generation of talent gets the visibility and support they deserve.
This vision is currently unfolding through “Umculo Ohamba Nawe” (Music That Moves With You), an exciting new campaign launched in partnership with Sebenza Wi-Fi. Rather than just promoting the app, the campaign highlights how music seamlessly integrates into everyday South African life—from the daily taxi commute to sharing fresh tracks with friends.
Moving forward, Audiomack plans to launch more local storytelling and discovery initiatives tailored to the creators defining the country’s unique sound.
“South African music has never stayed in one place,” Bwana adds. “It moves from city to city, from artist to fan, from the studio to the taxi, and from South Africa to the rest of the world. Audiomack is there for that journey.”
