Independent alt-pop artist Casey Lowery is back with a sharp new release titled “Leave Me Alone”, the latest single from his upcoming EP, Lekkerland 2. The track marks another confident step forward in his evolving sound and signals the start of an exciting new chapter in his career.
“Leave Me Alone” delivers exactly what fans have come to expect from Casey: clever lyricism, catchy hooks, and a healthy dose of chaotic honesty.
The track plays out like the ultimate post-breakup anthem, packed with attitude and humour while still striking an emotional chord.
At its core, the song captures that familiar moment when patience runs out and the only option left is to move on. With its tongue-in-cheek tone and relatable message about setting emotional boundaries, the track balances wit with sincerity in a way that feels authentic rather than overdramatic.
It’s the kind of song that doesn’t just sit quietly in the background, it demands attention and invites listeners to sing along at full volume.
Momentum That Shows No Signs of Slowing
Casey’s rise in the alt-pop world has been nothing short of impressive. With more than 7 million followers across social media platforms, he has built a loyal global audience that continues to grow with each release.
His live performances have also played a major role in that momentum. A sold-out North American tour and a fully packed show at KOKO in the UK highlight just how strong his fanbase has become.
Adding to the excitement, Casey is set to return to Baxter Theatre this summer for a live performance, giving South African fans another chance to experience his high-energy stage presence. Those interested in attending will want to keep a close eye on his social media channels for official announcements and ticket details.
Building an Independent Era on His Own Terms
One of the standout aspects of this new chapter is how deliberately independent it has been. Casey Lowery chose to launch this phase of his career without relying on traditional industry structures, instead inviting fans to become part of the process.
Through a successful Kickstarter campaign, he has already raised more than £30,000 in preorders, with several weeks still remaining before the EP’s release. The campaign doesn’t just fund the project, it also ensures that Casey keeps full creative and financial ownership of his music.
It’s a bold move, but one that reflects his commitment to doing things his own way.
