UK independent artist Casey Lowery is back with his latest single, “Deep”, a sharp and timely reflection on the emotional distance that defines modern dating in 2026.
Blending introspective songwriting with bright, guitar-led pop energy, the track captures a familiar frustration in a way that feels both personal and widely relatable.
More info about Casey Lowery
Often cited as one of the UK’s most compelling independent success stories, Lowery has built his career without major-label backing, choosing instead to grow organically while maintaining full creative control.
That independence sits at the heart of “Deep”, where emotionally candid lyrics meet an upbeat, hook-driven sound that recalls the spirit of 2010s indie pop, with echoes of early Declan McKenna, Courteeners and The Wombats.
A Soundtrack to Modern Dating Culture
At its core, “Deep” examines the shallow nature of swipe-based dating culture, questioning how genuine connection survives in an era of endless options and fleeting attention. Rather than leaning into melancholy, Lowery wraps these observations in a feel-good rhythm and an instantly accessible melody, balancing reflection with release.
A Global Fanbase That Shows Up
Lowery’s ability to connect with listeners is reflected in his rapidly growing audience. With more than six million followers across social platforms, he has cultivated a highly engaged global fanbase that consistently supports his work beyond the screen. In early 2025, his Kickstarter campaign exceeded 200% of its funding goal within just seven days, highlighting the trust and loyalty his listeners place in his music.
Proven Live Appeal Across Continents
That digital momentum has translated seamlessly to the live stage. Since 2021, every Casey Lowery headline tour has sold out, with performances across the UK, Europe, Australia, South Africa and the United States. Career highlights include a headline show at London’s KOKO in 2023 and a sold-out US headline tour in December 2025, following the release of his debut mini-album Lekkerland.
Broadcast Recognition and Industry Respect
Despite operating entirely independently, Lowery has earned notable broadcast recognition. His music has received multiple plays on BBC Radio 1, alongside national radio support in South Africa, India and the United States. His work has also received personal recognition from Elton John, who highlighted Casey’s music on his radio show.
Independence with Real Impact
What continues to set Casey Lowery apart is his ability to pair emotional honesty with approachable, melodic songwriting. It’s this balance that has allowed him to build a sustainable global career, sell out venues worldwide and attract meaningful industry attention—without compromising his independence.
With “Deep”, Casey Lowery once again proves that independence and impact are not mutually exclusive.
