South African chart-topping, multi-platinum artist and three-time SAMA-nominated pop sensation, Daniel Baron, has started 2025 on a high note with the release of the official music video for his much-anticipated single, “Up At Night.”
This sultry, high-energy pop-club anthem marks Baron’s dynamic return to his dance roots, fusing his signature genre-defying style with a hypnotic love story set to irresistible beats.
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Matthew Marinus, the video is an intimate black-and-white masterpiece, portraying the raw intensity of love and connection.
Featuring Baron and his wife in a series of captivating, sensual moments, the visuals perfectly align with the track’s dark, seductive tones and exotic energy. Its minimalist aesthetic keeps the music at the forefront, creating a timeless and emotionally charged experience for viewers.
“This song and video are incredibly personal to me,” Daniel Baron shares. “Collaborating with my wife on this project made it all the more meaningful. It’s a celebration of connection, passion, and the magic of creating something special together.”
The track’s lyrics draw a parallel between the intoxicating beauty of love and the kind of music that keeps you awake at night.
“I wanted to capture the euphoria of being addicted to someone’s love—the rush, the intensity, the love-drunk obsession, and how music amplifies every emotion,” Baron explains. “‘Up At Night’ is about that unshakable energy.”
