Easy Freak Drop New Single: “Old School Love”

South African electro-pop duo Easy Freak are kicking off a bold new chapter with the release of their infectious new single, “Old School Love”—a funky, feel-good jam that oozes retro charm and fresh energy.

Even more exciting? It marks their first official release under the iconic US-based label Ultra Records.

In a recent interview with a popular local music blog, the duo shared how this international signing came about.

“Our TikTok content started reaching a big audience in the USA,” explains Jude. “We started getting emails from labels and management companies over there. Ultra Records immediately felt like the right fit, and after a few meetings, we made it official!”

Jude describes the track as “everybody’s new favourite sing-along song,” calling it groovy, catchy, and the perfect introduction to their next era with Ultra.

Dominic adds, “We’re so happy to finally be getting this one out. It’s anthemic, heartfelt, and we hope people love it as much as we do.”

More info about Easy Freak‘s “Old School Love”

Blending smooth 70s R&B and funk influences with the soulful sounds of South African Deep House, “Old School Love” is both nostalgic and refreshingly modern.

The track pays tribute to legendary acts like Bee Gees, Kool & The Gang, and CHIC, all wrapped in Easy Freak’s signature slick production and irresistible energy.

The single is just the beginning—Easy Freak has four more singles lined up for 2025, setting the stage for what could be their biggest year yet.

This release also follows the viral success of their cover of “How Deep Is Your Love” (originally by the Bee Gees), which has been used in over 150,000 TikTok videos—especially blowing up in Southeast Asia.

With a South African tour happening in May 2025 and a European/UK tour scheduled for September, the duo is taking their “Old School Love” across the globe.
