Great news rock fans! Today sees the release of Seasons from Pretoria’s Sludge ‘n Rollers Ruff Majik.

During the course of 2017 the band released 3 EP’s, The Hare and the Hollow, A Finch in a Cherry Tree and A Dragon and his Hoard, which along with 3 previously unreleased tracks make up Seasons.

Johni Holiday (vocalist / guitarist of Ruff Majik) explains Seasons

“Seasons was a unique venture for us. As you listen to it, you’re listening to a years’ worth of life, step by step, as the band lived through each season. It’s like a weird little time capsule.”

Ruff Majik surfaced in 2015 with the release of their first 6 track, The Bear. This got them lots of attention from reviewers all over the world. They quickly followed up with The Fox in 2016, that got them into Classic Rock Magazine with the song ‘Sodoom and Gomorrah’ as well as 104,000 views on the YouTube stream of the full album.

Ruff Majik is a power trio, a stoner juggernaut, and they bring good times with them wherever they go. If you haven’t seen them live yet, you should definitely make a plan. Their shows are always energetic and leaves one feeling rocked-out and smiling with a sense of joy that only exposure to good rock ‘n roll infuses.

Ruff Maijk embark on their first European tour in May 2018 which sees them play Freak Valley Festival in Germany along with a host of club shows supporting the likes of Colour Haze, My Sleeping Karma and The Devil and the Almighty Blues.

They’ll be back in Europe in August to play SonicBlast in Portugal. If you’re reading this and you’re in one of those countries, try to catch them live, you won’t be disappointed if you’re a true fan of rock ‘n roll.
