The Narrow Multiverse is happening at the Barnyard Theatre in Rivonia tomorrow night. The event promises to be one of the best rock ‘n roll jols of the year. I recently had a chat to Deon Kruger from The Narrow about this and a few other things. This is what he had to say…
What is your favourite The Narrow song to play and why?
Love all of them and just love sharing our music with you guys!
What are Deon Kruger’s thoughts on the current state of the SA rock ‘n roll scene?
I have always maintained that SA has some of the best talent, and still do. I just wish our mainstream media supported alternative music more, that being said, we’ve never been sighed to any major label, so with hard work you can share your music with people. Can’t wait to hear the next heavy band that will change the scene – know they are out there!
What is the funniest thing that you’ve ever experienced during a The Narrow show?
Too many to mention, but one of my first gigs with the band we got lost in parking lot at a festival and couldn’t find the stage – very ‘Spinal Tap’.
Who does Deon Kruger think would win in a celebrity deathmatch between Steve Hofmeyer and Justin Bieber and why?
Steve, want sy bloed is Blou!
What can audiences expect from The Narrow Multiverse?
Just an evening of good friends making good music and celebrating life and memories together – yes, I’m becoming that corny old guy!
I’d like to thank Deon Kruger and The Narrow for this interview and I wish them all of the best with their show tomorrow night.
