Happy Star Wars Day!
Today is Intergalactic Star Wars Day. Most of you are thoroughly aware of that. The Pretoria based radio station Tuks FM’s breakfast team honored this day this morning in their show by playing some of the Star Wars theme songs on the air and even having a 3-click quiz in honor of Star Wars. I must admit that I will always be a Star Wars fan. I still remember riding my bike to the video shop countless times to rent the old trilogy on video. In my lifetime it’s highly possible that I’ve seen each of the first 3 movies at least 15 times. I recently watched them again, and they are still as good as the first time I watched them (nevermind the fact that A New Hope was released in 1977, The Empire Strikes Back was released in 1980 and Return of the Jedi was released in 1983). I’m not a huge fan of the prequels, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t like them. The Phantom Menace (1999), Attack of the Clones (2002) and Revenge of the Sith (2005) will always have a special place in my heart. Nothing beats the original 3 films though in the Science Fiction department. It gives me huge pleasure to wish you all a Happy Star Wars Day….May the 4th be with you…..
