It was a summersday in Clerens, that means it was atleast 5°C, when I saw PopArtLive for the first time. And fell inlove. With the band. With the music. With the beauty standing in the distance from me.
They music sppke to my soul. And she spoke to my heart. Definitely my best memory. Thus my love for PopArtLive.

You should know by now my undying love for Shortstraw! Seeing as I missed their album launch this will be the very last oppurtunity for me to see them live before they take their break! Please make it happen!

How are you supposed to choose a band/artist to comment on when you have some of the biggest heavyweights of their respective genres on the line up? Hellcats who delivered a face melting, kick drum smashing set at oppikoppi, Pollinator that has the ability of impregnating your daughter via WiFi, Femi Koya who is one of the most innovative and multidimensional artists in South Africa, Grassy spark that will leave the essence of Mary Jane lingering at the back of your throat for months on end, Shortstraw with the special ability of the involuntary hip swing, Popartlive that’ll make you regret skipping leg day and last but not least the deep, smooth, soul quenching, underground, beats of the ToyToy sound system. With one of the biggest line ups of the year I refuse to choose a favourite because even if I don’t win a ticket I will still pay twice the price to experience this magical day.

I’ve only very recently become a part of the Shortstraw fan club. I saw them live at Arcade Empire for the first time a few months ago, but ever since my wake up playlist is made up exclusively of their songs, and it seems to be the only thing keeping me from being a bitch in the morning.
