I, too, want to have my own things—I’ve worked hard in this world.” This powerful message resonates deeply with listeners.

Reflecting on the inspiration behind the lyrics, DJ Kotin shares, “Everyone reaches a point where they long for independence and the ability to achieve their goals through hard work. This song is a sincere prayer for that, affirming to God that I’ve put in the effort and am ready to see the fruits of my labor.”

The second verse continues the emotional appeal: “Remember me, O God, when you respond to prayers and bless your children.”
