Faxxon (a South African-based Rock Band) was formed in March 2022 by singer and songwriter, Jack Stone. The five-piece band’s arrangement consists of Lead Vocals, Lead Guitar, Rhythm Guitar, Bass, Drums and Keys. The band blends a distinct yet authentic British Rock sound with American Blues and Rock undertones, and tastefully huge string, synth and piano sounds.

With influences like Stereophonics, U2, Oasis, The Verve, Coldplay, Kings Of Leon and a dash of classic artists like The Rolling Stones and John Lennon, one can expect strong and well-written songs from Faxxon‘s upcoming repertoire of original music.
The band’s first single was released on Friday the 3rd of February 2023. The track is entitled “In Time” and it strangely depicts a collective awareness of the message that Faxxon‘s upcoming album relays. It’s a great affirmation of what lies ahead for the full length album. “In Time” emphasizes the message that time is relevant in every facet of our lives and that we should focus on how we spend it.
I have to admit that this track made me feel like I could be astral projecting back to the 1990s. Not to sound funny, but It honestly sounds like Oasis had a lovechild and it’s name is Faxxon. I am curious to find out how the rest of the album is going to sound. If it sounds anything like this track, it’s probably going to be a legit record.
