Grimehouse’s new album “Meraki” is a body of work, created during isolation through the Coronavirus pandemic and not knowing when musicians could perform live music again and what the future holds for musicians & their careers.
For Grimehouse this album was a huge burden on his shoulders of what was expected of him in terms of his music style. He teamed up with Nasrene, Amy Jones, Dream Demon & Hailo to name a few to tap into the Zeitgeist and express the feeling of the times that the world is going through at the moment.
Grimehouse comments on the new album
“I decided to experiment and play with sounds and styles that spoke to me instead of making music only for clubs / radio etc. I hope somebody can relate to at least one song on the album. I am highly inspired by classical music, and the whole album is a fusion of Classic, Orchestral and Modern Electronic Sounds.”
“Sometimes a large brass trombone or a low cello can hit as hard as a filthy bassline, I’d love for this album to show that. I had fallen in love with every collaborators talent on this album and each one was chosen by me for a reason, I could not have done it without each and every one of them”
Andrew Mitchley, COO of David Gresham Records comments on working with Grimehouse
“We’ve been working with Keaton for a number of years & we’ve always felt that the power & beauty of his artistry was underrated in the public domain. We’re hoping that the sheer brilliance of Meraki will make Grimehouse a household name & look forward to pushing the sonic boundaries together”
