After several years away from releasing new music, South African melodic hardcore veterans Truth & Its Burden have made a welcome return with their brand-new single, “Live For Today”, available now via Mongrel Records.
The release marks an exciting new chapter for the band while staying true to the passion, energy and positivity that have defined their music since 2007.
Truth & Its Burden Make a Powerful Comeback
For nearly two decades, Truth & Its Burden have built a loyal fanbase through their explosive live performances and emotionally charged take on melodic hardcore. Inspired by bands such as Stick To Your Guns, The Ghost Inside, Ignite, No Bragging Rights, Comeback Kid and To The Wind, the group has become known for blending crushing riffs with soaring melodies and meaningful lyrics.
“Live For Today” is both a celebration of the band’s roots and a confident step into the future, proving that their creative spark burns as brightly as ever.
“Live For Today” Carries the Message of Truth & Its Burden
The philosophy behind “Live For Today” is one that has guided Truth & Its Burden since the beginning: embrace every opportunity and make the most of each day.
From humble beginnings to sharing their music with an ever-growing audience, the band has consistently challenged themselves to push beyond their comfort zones.
That mindset is woven throughout the new single, combining fast-paced guitar work, memorable melodies and an uplifting message that encourages listeners to chase their dreams and live life without hesitation.
Truth & Its Burden Share the Inspiration Behind “Live For Today”
