Dr Khumalo and MoeJoe will be battling it out on the decks at Park Acoustics on Sunday. Both these DJs will definitely be spinning some lekker tunes, so you should not be missing out on this.
I recently had a chat to Dr Khumalo about Park Acoustics and a few other things. This is what he had to say:
How did this DJ battle start?
Dr Khumalo is acually MoeJoe’s prodigy and Sunday they are combing forces for Park Acoustics’s 9th Birthday bash.
Where did you get your DJ names?
Dr Khumalo was the start midfielder for the Chiefs and Bafana Bafana and Moejoe the classic Austin Powers cocktail… Also Johan’s nick name is Joe.
What is the funniest thing that’s happened to you guys during a DJ set?
I mixed the same song that was currently playing into each other at Sowing the Seeds in 2012.
What is your favourite song to jam out to when you’re DJing?
Anything by Miriam Makeba and Fat Boy Slim.
What can we expect from you guys at Park Acoustics this weekend?
Perfect after party music mixing all genres including, disco, funk, soul, indie, rock and hip hop.
