Award-winning singer-songwriters Cindy Alter and CheraLee have teamed up to create a powerful new anthem titled “Be Your Own Hero”. The track is designed to uplift, inspire, and remind us all that we possess the strength to write our own stories.

A Fated Collaboration
The journey of this song began in 2021 during a songwriting session in South Africa. For CheraLee, collaborating with Cindy Alter was a “dream come true” moment; Cindy had been a lifelong inspiration who motivated CheraLee to pursue her own musical path.
Years later, following Cindy’s move to Nashville in 2022, the two artists were encouraged by a mutual friend to join forces on a new project. When they finally sat down for a co-writing session over a one-hour WhatsApp video call, something magical happened.
They discovered that their concepts for the song were nearly identical, despite never having discussed them beforehand. The collaboration felt guided by fate, resulting in the seamless creation of “Be Your Own Hero.”
To bring their vision to life, the duo enlisted Grammy-member producer and platinum-selling artist Daniel Baron of Hit Kitchen Studios.
Sharing a deep passion for guitar-driven, melodic rock and country music, Cindy and CheraLee sought a sound that felt both fresh and timeless. Daniel Baron successfully crafted a Southern Rock and Pop fusion that feels innovative yet instantly familiar.
“Be Your Own Hero” is more than just a track – it is an anthem that will leave listeners eager for more, sparking a new curiosity for the combined artistry of these two talented musicians.
