Great News! Pretoria based easy-core outfit I Believe In Giants have released a video for their track “Just You & I”. It’s also available to stream on all major digital streaming platforms.
I Believe In Giants Vocalist Jéan Lombard tells us more about the track
“The pandemic has definitely changed things a lot for artists and I think the way we look at music. This is the first music we’ve released since the start of the pandemic. I definitely reached a point where I just still want to make music because it’s such an expressive creative outlet for me.”
“I enjoy writing and all the creative aspects around it in terms of design and videos etc. without being too focused just on the response and outcome around it. It definitely took me a while to get into that mindset, but I think that’s when you write your best music though, when you actually just enjoy it again.”
“I usually write in a very general positive way but I always like the raw emotion of stripped down tracks. This song is an ode to memories and relationships of the past and remembering the good, because they made you the person that you are today. But then also looking towards the future and the possibilities it may bring. I wanted to portray that in a very raw and honest way.”

I have to admit that I like the stripped down approach that I Believe In Giants took with this song. “Just You & I” conjures up memories of things that happened to me in my 20s and 30s, kind of what you expect a song like this to do.
