Rising South African indie-pop artist Joneaux is back with his most personal release to date, “All I Need.” Inspired by his recent engagement, the new single captures a moment of clarity and joy, marking a significant step forward in both his music and personal journey.

Following growing streaming traction across Europe and Africa, the track signals a new chapter for the artist, one rooted in authenticity and emotional honesty.

“All I Need” leans into a dreamy, upbeat indie-pop sound, blending shimmering guitars, bright synths and infectious hooks. There are clear influences from acts like The 1975 and Empire of the Sun, but Joneaux brings his own flavour to the mix.

At its core, the song is about that rare moment when everything just clicks. It captures the feeling of knowing you’ve found your person, without overcomplicating the message.

The strength of “All I Need” lies in its directness. The lyrics don’t try to be overly poetic or abstract. Instead, they lean into clarity and sincerity.

Lines like “You’re shaping up to be the one that I need” and the chorus hook “If I got you then I got all I need” reflect the emotional certainty behind the track. It’s straightforward, but that’s exactly what makes it hit.

The single follows a steady rise for Joneaux, whose previous releases have been gaining traction across streaming platforms and radio. His earlier track “When You Know You Know” helped establish his playful yet emotionally grounded pop style.

Editorial playlist support, including Spotify’s Indie Love Songs and regional playlists across Europe and Africa, along with airplay on stations like 947 and Jacaranda FM, has helped expand his reach.

Beyond his releases, Joneaux has been building a strong digital presence through personality-driven content. His viral “Songs South Africans Forgot About” series has resonated widely, helping him connect with a growing audience that appreciates both his humour and his passion for music.

Born Jonathan Nunes, he has taken a hands-on, DIY approach to his career, blending storytelling, relatability and consistency to carve out his space in the indie-pop scene.

A Defining Moment for Joneaux

For Joneaux, “All I Need” feels like more than just another release. It represents a shift in confidence and direction.

The track balances romance, joy and self-assurance, offering a glimpse into an artist who is becoming increasingly comfortable in his identity and sound.

If this is the direction he’s heading in, it’s safe to say Joneaux isn’t just making love songs. He’s building a catalogue that people will actually feel.
