Locnville Return With New Single: “Show Me Love”

After a brief hiatus, Locnville make a powerful comeback with their brand-new single “Show Me Love” – a collaboration with rising artist Hannah Ray, out now on all major streaming platforms. The track dives deep into the duality of emotion, exploring the highs and lows of love and the tension between surrender and control.

“It was written more from a feeling than a story,” explains Andrew Chaplin. “It beautifully describes the push and pull of many things we experience in life.” Brian Chaplin adds, “The lyrics of the hook are meant to portray opposite sides of the same feeling, like ‘take me up, and pull me under.’ It’s a good way to describe love.”

The Story Behind the Collaboration

The collaboration came to life through longtime friend and producer Sketchy Bongo, who connected Locnville with Hannah Ray.

“I was chatting with Sketchy about my solo Djenga projects and mentioned I was looking for new vocalists,” says Andrew. “He told me he’d been working with Hannah. I heard her vocals, and it instantly made sense for where we wanted to go moving forward.”

For Brian, Hannah’s ethereal tone was the missing piece that brought “Show Me Love” to life. “When we first started getting the beat together, the hook came about really easily, but I felt like the verses needed something lighter,” he recalls.

“When Hannah came through to record, she basically freestyled the verses; it all came together really quickly and easily. I hope to work with her more in the future.”

A New Sonic Era for Locnville

“Show Me Love” marks a new sonic direction for Locnville, blending Afro-house influences with Andrew’s dance-oriented sensibilities from his Djenga project.

“I’ve been doing a lot more dance-oriented music with Djenga, and that naturally flowed into this new Locnville track,” says Andrew. “We want to take Locnville more into a production direction rather than a vocal-based act.”

The result is a track that feels both intimate and euphoric – a fusion of rhythm and reflection designed to move both body and soul.

Reconnection and Renewal

Despite the gap between releases, the time apart proved grounding for the Chaplin brothers. “It’s been ages,” Andrew admits. “We’ve just been living two completely separate lives mentally and physically.”

Brian adds, “I became a father, and we hadn’t even seen each other in a few years. But when we finally met up again, it was like, ‘let’s make something.’”

The renewed partnership has reignited their creative spark – and their vision for what’s next.

You can stream/download “Show Me Love” on Spotify and all other major streaming platforms.

Looking Ahead

“Honestly, I just want people to have a good time,” Andrew says. “When you put this track on, I want you to feel good and want to spin it again.”

As for what’s next for Locnville? “We’ll definitely be doing shows and writing more,” Brian teases. “The goal is to warm things up for 2026. Big plans, but mostly, we’re just here to have fun.”
