TrevTober is officially returning to Johannesburg for its highly anticipated fifth edition. Taking over Mea Culpa in Sandton, Johannesburg on 24 October 2026, the event has evolved from a standard music festival into a fully immersive cultural phenomenon celebrating sound, connection, and the vibrant legacy of its founder, Trev the Japanese.
For its five-year milestone, TrevTober will transform Mea Culpa into a multi-sensory experience. Guests will move through three distinct spaces as the day turns into night: the lush, relaxed energy of the garden, an elevated rooftop setting, and the unmistakable pulse of the main stage. Each area offers its own mood, allowing the atmosphere to unfold seamlessly.

Global Sounds and Live Performances
This year’s line-up expertly blends global headliners with top-tier local talent, proudly powered by SAMPRA.
International Guests: Omar (UK), Frances Jaye (USA), and Marcelo Tavares (Brazil) bring an exciting global dimension to the dance floor.
Live Acts: Thabo Smol takes the stage with a full band to perform tracks from his recent album, Dithupa Tsa Smol. Dynamic live music outfit Kitchen Mess will also deliver an electrifying set to the eclectic program.
True to its roots, TrevTober remains deeply connected to Johannesburg’s creative culture
The 2026 edition features a massive, carefully curated line-up of South African DJs and musicians, including Trev The Japanese, T-Bose, Nicky B, Vinny Da Vinci, Bubbles, Thabo Phalatse, Brian Blaq, Thami 537, MR. 55, Simmy, Juss Banks, Chainz, S-Girl, Kabelo Phalatse, Daddy Twist, Owza, David Soulmarti, Smoothie-T, Syrin, Subman, Mister X, Les da Groove, Magic Prince, Kalawa, Mr. Spike, Marco D’Mel, Gordz, Danny The Jazz, TeddyPeace, KZBL, Tibza (SZW), Floyd Mash, and St. Jones.
For founder Trev the Japanese, reaching this anniversary is a celebration of the community that helped build the event. “Five years feels special because we’ve built this together with the people who have continued to show up,” he explains.
He emphasizes that while music is the heartbeat of the festival, it is equally about the conversations, unexpected moments, and lasting memories formed when the right people share the same space.
