Friday, the 25th of August 2023 saw the release of a brand new single from Majozi and Mthandazo – entitled “Mi Amor”. “Mi Amor” is Majozi’s 4th new single release for the year. “Mi Amor” was already written in the middle of 2022 while the two artists were joking around and having fun.
Ever since Majozi met Mthandazo through Neon Dreams, he always wanted to do a collaboration together. For Majozi, the single was heavily inspired by him meeting his wife for the first time, so they decided to call it “Mi Amor”.

“When this song started taking shape, Mthandazo was the first person I thought about who could add something really special to the song. He did that, and so much more. His voice is so mesmerising and the lyrics are beautiful. I am so honoured to have worked with him on this project.”
A song about finding love and never wanting to let it go, no matter what happens – the South African singer specifically wanted to heat up the winter as a warm up to the announcement of his album date soon to come. With having Mthandazo on the song, Majozi feels he took it to the next level with absolutely beautiful song lyrics in Zulu and English.

“Majozi is a great human being before he’s a great artist; I connect with people based on their energy and he’s filled with really positive energy. Working with him was so easy and very effortless. I never had to try too hard because I connected to the song; it is well written and well sung. It’s always a great experience being in studio with him.”
With Texx and The City describing the single as ‘a combination of Beatenberg meets Burna Boy’, Majozi is excited to show people that he is having fun singing about things that really matters to him whilst not boxing himself into any one genre or way of doing things.

Mthandazo is a Gauteng-born South African singer, performer, and songwriter. He is best known for his dance track “Senzeni”. The song became a local hit after its release and got massive airplay. It amassed over 1.5 million views within a short period after the release. It also topped many radio stations such as Metro FM, Ligwalagwala, and Ikwekwezi FM.
