A week ago I made my way to Arcade Empire to catch the Wrestlerish CD launch gig. During the course of the night I bumped into @DapperTrapper, @msbunnypants (who was having her b-day party), @EdwinMoses84, @wrestlerish, @almarieviraltyd, @vanessastrydom and others. Laurie Levine played her set before Wrestlerish made their way onto the stage at the best venue for live music in Pretoria.
Wrestlerish played a fair amount of songs of their newly released album Towns (much to the Arcade Empire faithful’s delight). Songs like Oliver Tambourine, Sleep and Bodies of Water went down well with the crowd. I must say that the band have definitely come a long way since I first saw them perform at RAMFest 2010 JHB last year. I see big things in their future. They could be one of South Africa’s best musical exports (in my opinion).

If you live in Pretoria, love live music, cheap alcohol and good food I suggest that you make your way to Arcade Empire. It’s definitely the best venue in Pretoria for live music.
