Ross Learmonth Releases New Single: “Days”

Following the success of his previous single “Ready To Dance”, South African singer and songwriter Ross Learmonth returns with a new release titled “Days”.

The track marks the next chapter in his evolving solo journey, one that continues to explore vulnerability, reflection, and personal growth.

Ross Learmonth

“This song is very special to me,” Ross explains. “It’s an ode to my younger self in a way. How the things we go through help make us who we are.”

A Song About Growth and Reflection

“Days” carries a strong sense of nostalgia, but it avoids romanticising the past. Instead, the song acknowledges the complicated reality of growing up, recognising the mistakes, distance, and lessons that shape a person over time.

At its heart, the track explores the idea that people sometimes need to lose themselves, or even “wreck themselves”, in order to truly understand who they are.

The song paints this emotional landscape through vivid imagery. Childhood homes, names etched into cement, backyard trees, and unfinished conversations create a reflective atmosphere that captures the quiet ache of looking back while standing firmly in the present.

Finding Meaning in Memories

Although revisiting the past can feel daunting, Ross believes memories carry their own kind of beauty.

“That’s what I hope people will take from the song,” he says. “I hope they can see their own stories in it, and that it resonates with them. Maybe even bring back an old memory.”

The track invites listeners to reflect on their own journeys, recognising how moments from the past continue to shape the present.

Ross Learmonth is Looking Ahead

While reflection is an important theme in “Days”, Ross is equally focused on the future. After a strong 2025 that included charting singles and extensive touring, the new release reveals another layer of his evolving artistic identity.

He is currently working on several new songs and hints that something bigger may be on the horizon.

“I’m working on a lot of new music,” Ross says. “Without giving too much away, I’m hopeful that there’s a full length album in the pipeline for the year.”

For Ross Learmonth, “Days” represents both a look back and a step forward. It celebrates the experiences that shape who we become while embracing the excitement of what still lies ahead.
