TCL FreshIN Tech: Next-Level Air Conditioning

TCL is leading this shift with its FreshIN technology – a patented innovation that introduces and purifies fresh air, transforming a traditional air conditioner into a smarter, healthier home solution.

This is proof that awareness is growing around the impact of indoor air quality on health, comfort, and productivity – air conditioning is evolving beyond simply cooling a room.

    TCL FreshIN

Innovative Design Brings Fresh Air Indoors

The heart of the FreshIN 3.0 Series is TCL’s patented liftable fresh air inlet, marked by a small blue wing on the top panel. When activated, the wing gently extends, signalling that fresh outdoor air is entering the room. This air is then directed through the top panel into the living space, ensuring a constant flow of cleaner, oxygen-rich air instead of just recirculating indoor air.

Multi-Stage Purification for Cleaner, Fresher Air

Unlike conventional air conditioners, which rely on closed-loop circulation, FreshIN technology actively draws in outside air and purifies it through TCL’s QuadruPuri filtration system.

This multi-stage process includes a preliminary filter, a silver ion antibacterial layer, a HEPA high-efficiency filter, and a high-density filter. Together, these layers remove fine particles, reduce bacteria, neutralise odours, and optimise humidity, delivering noticeably fresher, cleaner air indoors.

FreshIN has Real-Time Air Quality Monitoring

FreshIN also provides visible air quality monitoring. An integrated TVOC sensor continuously detects harmful airborne particles and displays real-time air quality data on the unit. This gives users instant insight into the air they’re breathing and reassurance that purification is actively taking place.

Ultra-Quiet Fresh Air Mode for Peaceful Sleep

The FreshIN 3.0 Series features an ultra-quiet 16dB Fresh Air mode designed for night-time use. At just 16 decibels, fresh air flows gently into the room as quietly as a whisper, creating a calm sleeping environment without interruption.

    FreshIN offers Smart Home Compatibility

Designed for modern, connected homes, the FreshIN 3.0 Series works seamlessly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Through the TCL HOME app or voice-enabled devices, users can adjust settings, monitor air quality, and control their air conditioner remotely, integrating it effortlessly into their smart home ecosystem.

A New Standard for Indoor Wellness

Mr Mike Chen, General Manager of TCL South Africa, highlights the vision behind FreshIN: “Cooling alone is no longer enough. With FreshIN, we are addressing how people actually live – spending more time indoors, working from home, and becoming increasingly conscious of air quality.

Our technology allows fresh outdoor air to enter the room, purifies it through advanced filtration, and gives users visibility and control over their indoor environment. It’s a meaningful step forward in making homes healthier and smarter.”

By combining patented fresh air intake, advanced purification, real-time monitoring, and intelligent connectivity, TCL FreshIN technology elevates the air conditioner from a basic appliance to an active wellness solution. Innovations like FreshIN are setting a new benchmark for comfort, control, and clean air in modern homes.
