The Rolling Stones have announced the release of their highly anticipated new studio album, Foreign Tongues, arriving on 10 July 2026 via Polydor/Universal Music.
This vibrant 14-track collection follows less than three years after the band’s universally acclaimed, Grammy Award-winning Hackney Diamonds, which topped charts worldwide. The new era begins with the upbeat and infectious lead single, “In the Stars”.

In the lead-up to this announcement, the band subtly built anticipation through a limited white-label vinyl release of the track “Rough and Twisted” under the pseudonym The Cockroaches.
This rare release sparked immediate excitement among collectors, offering an early glimpse into the raw and exploratory energy that defines the new project.
Recorded during an exceptionally productive period, Foreign Tongues was brought to life in under a month at Metropolis Studios in West London. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, and Ronnie Wood reunited with Grammy-winning producer Andrew Watt, who also helmed the Hackney Diamonds sessions.
The result is a dynamic record that maintains the band’s unmistakable sound while pushing into fresh sonic and lyrical territory.
The album features core collaborators Darryl Jones, Matt Clifford, and Steve Jordan. Notably, it includes a special appearance from the late Charlie Watts, captured during one of his final recording sessions before his passing in 2021.
This blend of the band’s history and their forward-looking spirit further cements their unparalleled legacy in rock history.
