Van Coke Kartel release music video for “Sweef”

Belville rockers Van Coke Kartel have released a music video for the second single off their fourth studio album, “Sweef”. The music video was directed by Ben Jay Crossman (who was also responsible for Van Coke Kartel’s music video for “Chaos” featuring Jack Parow). The song is definitely one of their heaviest tracks and I’m thinking that the video is one of their weirdest and coolest videos to date.

Crossman has been documenting an unusual character, “Odd Art”, for a few years now. Fans are invited into a day in the life of this eccentrically strange character. He is full blown Goth and lives life on the edge of society – someone you’ve never quite seen before (unless you went to Oppikoppi 2014 Odyssey two weeks ago).

Van Coke Kartel will be touring in September and October 2014, so make sure that you catch these blokes live a venue near you. They’ll be Aandklas in Pretoria on the 10th of September, at Cafe Barcelona in Pretoria on the 11th of September, at Sundowners in Alberton on the 12th of September, at Joburg Day on the 13th of September, at Tribeone Fest on the 28th of September, at Arcade Empire in Potchefstroom on the 9th of October at Rumors Lounge in Roodepoort on the 10th of October, at Rhapsody’s in Centurion on the 11th of October at at Park Acoustics on the 26th of October.
