The new single from Australian singer-songwriter Ziggy Alberts, ‘Letting Go’ has been unveiled today. It’s his first single for 2021. The track starts the new year with a radiant summer tune and a fan-filled music video to match.
Ziggy Alberts explains “Letting Go”
“It’s about letting go of fear and the notion of having to heal everything alone. We find strength and joy in companionship on life’s adventures, lifting each other up along the way.”
‘Letting Go’ has hints of Ziggy’s classic melodies as found on his earlier records, mixed with new mature elements that secure its place on his forthcoming album, ‘Searching for Freedom’ (which will be released on 19 March 2021).
Ziggy explains
“I have spent time busking and jamming this song with friends over the last few years, but it never made it onto an album until now – despite being written around the same time as ‘Runaway’. I’ve grown more and more confident over the years not to rush song releases – this record certainly seems the most fitting for this track.”
Accompanying the single release is an uplifting official music video made with the help of Ziggy’s friends and fans. With a call out to share moments of overcoming fear and relishing in the joy that comes with it, the ‘Letting Go’ music video is a motivating yet reflective piece that captures the track’s sentiment. Inspiring us all to push ourselves out of comfort zones and celebrate those defining moments.
‘Letting Go’ follows the release of recent single ‘Heartbeat’ on 12 November accompanied by the announcement of Alberts’ forthcoming album ‘Searching for Freedom’.
