Mario Vybez’s single, ‘Uk’dakwa Kwam’ boasts a vibe that is bound to make you dance and sing along
The song was produced by Tintswalo Musa Ndlovu from Plug-in Productions, music/lyrics/arrangement by Thabang Elliot Phakoe (Mario Vybez) and Shayne Nketsi as sub-arranger.
The music video production was handled by the company Lightningstruck Productions. It was directed by Shayne Nketsi. It was a joint effort of Mario Vybez, Magdalena Juric and Shayne Nketsi, as a step forward in boosting Mario Vybez’s music career following positive feedback from people on the initial single release. The music video serves as an extension of the song’s narrative, enriching Mario Vybez’s artistic vision.
‘Uk’dakwa Kwam’ is a song with the intriguing title ‘My drunkenness’ in Zulu. Although written mostly in Zulu, this song combines Zulu, Sesotho and English. The essence of this song encapsulates the spirit of carefree enjoyment and financial independence.
Just as people can be quick to judge when you’re responsibly enjoying a drink, or having fun, this song encourages individuals to ignore the noise and revel in their own happiness. Much like the freedom of spending your hard-earned money exactly as you desire without giving in to societal pressures.
In conjunction with the single and video release, Mario Vybez has also announced the upcoming release of his EP. The EP will feature a collection of tracks that showcase the depth and versatility of Mario’s musical talent.
