In case you did not know, classy SA Rock act Stoker released their self-titled debut album on iTunes on Thursday the 26th of January 2017. And now they’ve come to back it up with the music video of their first single from the album, “Forever Drive”. The black and white smoky imagery in the video serves to underline the lyrics.
Chris Bornman (Stoker’s lead vocalist and guitarist) comments
“The song’s plot deals with my inner dialogue, the arguments and statements going back and forth. The look of the video accentuates this by giving the video an eerie feel, even though the melodies and vibe isn’t necessarily dark,”

If you haven’t experienced Stoker live, this performance video serves as a visual introduction to the band (so you’re welcome).

I’ve only watched them perform twice in my life and I can’t wait till they make their way up to Gauteng to promote their new album.

This is a bloody amazing music video. I think it’s because it’s the black & white imagery and the kick-ass song that’s just blowing me away. I don’t know how else to explain this to you (and I don’t have the crayons to help me do it either).
You can catch Stoker live at Bohemia in Stellenbosch on the 9th of March 2017 and at Aces ‘n Spades in Cape Town on the 16th of March 2017. Both shows don’t have cover charge and they are supported by Blynd Tyger.
