Yum Yuck Releases New Single: "Le Stat"

Yum Yuck is the sound of bedroom alt indie- pop singer-songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Pascal Righini. Known for his effortless style and silver-tongued vocal, Yum Yuck’s palette is drenched in a dreamy world of nostalgia, groove, lucious synth canvases, and wavy guitar tones.

Yum Yuck’s debut EP Lace (which will be released soon) stands as a beautiful exploration of the connections between memories, lovers, substances, time and place. Like lace itself, life is “strongly intertwined but can easily become laddered, fragile and broken”, describes Yum Yuck.

The four track EP was written, produced and performed by Pascal Righini during lockdown of 2020, co-produced with Joshua Luke Berry (HONEYMOAN) on two of the songs and extra performance and mix by Vicente Espi (ANIMA!).

The perfect sound for summer, Yum Yuck’s first single “Bet it All” was released on the 23rd of July 2021. The song is sung cooly about jumping headfirst into things. “The good, the bad and the ugly that goes with a roll of the dice on life”, explains Yum Yuck. The freedom and abandon are matched with the uplifting synth-arpy chorus, an unshakable groove and pulsing punchyness that ebbs through the track.

His second single “Le Stat” is out today; and is a reflection on substances. The protagonist holds a conversation between themselves and the substances, or with someone they love being overwhelmed by substances. The sound of bent synthesizers, an intimate vocal performance and down-tempo grooves beacon you into this sultry abyss.

The last single “During The Heatwave” will be out on the 10th of September 2021 and is the perfect sound to the end of summer. The song is about the “deep connection of crystallized memories”, and as with the mood of the song, it will have you wrapped up in that feeling. You can download / stream it HERE.
