Artist Ben Rodrigues is stepping into a significant new chapter of his musical journey with the release of his latest single, “Back To You (Searching For Me)”.
This anthemic, acoustic pop track marks his first official faith-based release, though the lyrics are cleverly crafted to speak to the universal experience of love and relationships -whether with a partner or a higher power.
Ben shares that his faith has always been a cornerstone of his identity. He views this release as a natural progression, allowing his personal beliefs to reflect more deeply in his art while remaining accessible to a broad audience.
The song balances spiritual depth with a contemporary sound that resonates across different perspectives.
A Story of Redemption and Universal Love
The inspiration for the single stems from the biblical story of the Prodigal Son. Ben Rodrigues explains that the track explores the idea that even when we distance ourselves from what matters, we are being sought after with open arms.
By pairing this message with the structure of a love song, he ensures the music can be enjoyed by everyone, regardless of their specific beliefs.
This “open interpretation” approach is a deliberate choice by Ben to include all his listeners. He notes that while the song holds immense personal spiritual importance, he wanted to create something that anyone could find a piece of themselves in, honoring both his faith and his diverse fanbase.
