Three of South Africa’s most exciting Afro House artists – BlaQRhythm, Atmos Blaq, and Citizen Deep – have joined forces on a new collaborative single, “Banyathele”, featuring the captivating vocals of Maline Aura.
The track represents a seamless convergence of styles, merging their individual strengths into a fresh and immersive Afro House experience.
BlaQRhythm is a Rising Force in Afro House
KwaZulu-Natal-born producer BlaQRhythm has been steadily making waves in South Africa’s electronic music scene with his layered, genre-blurring productions.
His sound often fuses Afro House, Electronica, and Deep Tech, as heard on standout releases like “Amashumi”. With an increasing presence on international Afro House compilations, BlaQRhythm continues to position himself as one of the genre’s rising global voices.
A Slow-Burning Afro House Journey
“Banyathele” is a deep, slow-burning Afro House cut rooted in tribal textures—a sound signature all three producers are known for. At its core lies Maline Aura’s striking vocal performance, raw and soulful, acting as a spiritual thread that ties the track together.
The song draws on both ancestral rhythms and futuristic soundscapes, creating an experience that feels grounded yet transcendent.
This collaboration highlights the growing spirit of unity in South Africa’s electronic music scene, where artists are pushing the boundaries of Afro House and Afro-Tech through shared creativity.
The Artists Behind the Track
Atmos Blaq is celebrated for releases like “Dear Old Man” and “Kwa Mama”, with his work featured on major platforms such as Stay True Sounds and Soulistic Music.
Citizen Deep, known for projects like “Arcade” and collaborations with DJ Christos and Sir Trill, has earned recognition as one of the most versatile producers in the genre.
Maline Aura has built a reputation as a compelling Afro House vocalist, with acclaimed features on tracks like “Tena Kesho” and “Amashumi”, and her voice frequently graces respected compilations and live sets across Africa.
