South African pop artist Britney Meistre continues to build on the success of her debut EP 25 with the release of her latest single, “Stay,” delivering a relatable, easy-listening track that blends heartfelt vulnerability with an undeniable sense of feel-good escapism.

As the fourth single to be lifted from her debut project, “Stay” arrives as a warm, uplifting offering that invites listeners to be fully present in the moment. A Polished, Radio-Ready Production

Recorded at JAZZWORX, “Stay” was brought to life through the expert touch of producer Gregory Nottingham, alongside mixing and mastering by Robin Kohl.

The result is a polished, radio-ready record that highlights Britney’s evolving artistry and signature ability to fuse emotional storytelling with accessible pop sensibilities.

At its heart, “Stay” is about connection and presence, delivering a celebration of love, loyalty, and togetherness. It carries a message of holding on to the people who matter most, even as life shifts and changes.

With its uplifting tone and relatable message, the single leaves listeners with a lasting sense of warmth and comfort.

Reflecting on the Success of the 25 EP

Originally released in September 2025, Britney Meistre’s debut EP 25 marked a defining moment in her career with a bold, deeply personal body of work that captured her growth as both an artist and a young woman. Blending pop, dance, and singer-songwriter influences, the four-track EP showcased her ability to translate life experiences into music that resonates.

The project features the standout single “Rescue,” co-written and produced with longtime collaborator Lee Cole, a soaring ballad about finding a sense of home in another person. The title track “25” explores the complexities of adulthood, reflecting on identity, pressure, and personal growth, while “Dive” leans into romance, capturing the exhilarating feeling of surrendering to love.

A Journey of Love and Self-Discovery

Together, these songs – along with “Stay” – form a cohesive narrative of love, vulnerability, self-discovery, and celebration. The EP remains a milestone for Britney Meistre, symbolising a pivotal chapter in her journey as she stepped into adulthood with honesty and intention.

“25 is my heart on display,” Britney shares. “It’s about love, faith, and becoming. Every song carries a piece of who I am and where I am in my journey.”

Britney Meistre is carving a Unique Space in South African Pop

Since first introducing herself to South African audiences in 2021 with her debut single “Where Are You Now?,” Britney Meistre has steadily carved out her place in the local pop landscape. With releases like “By My Side” and “What About Us,” she has continued to evolve her sound while connecting with listeners through authenticity and emotional depth.

With “Stay,” Britney Meistre not only extends the life of her debut EP but also reaffirms her ability to create music that feels both personal and universally relatable, gifting a soundtrack for moments worth holding onto. 25 is out now on all digital streaming platforms.
