Acclaimed South African singer-songwriter, guitarist and producer Tim Hendricks has announced the release of “After Midnight”, the title track from his new album After Midnight. The single is now available on all major digital platforms.
The release comes at an important personal milestone for Hendricks, who was recently awarded an Honorary Doctorate (Ph.D.) from Kennedy University in the United States, with locations in Florida, Paris and St. Lucia.
The honour recognises his lifelong commitment to music and music education, as well as his achievements within the music industry.
A New Chapter for Tim Hendricks
Alongside his music career, Tim Hendricks is currently completing his Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) thesis at UCAM in Murcia, Spain. He also teaches Cambridge English (TKT) courses, ESL and IELTS qualifications to adult and teenage students on a daily basis.
“After Midnight” is a completely independent production, with Hendricks handling every aspect of the track himself.
He wrote, recorded, produced, mixed and mastered the single, overseeing the entire creative process from the initial songwriting through to the finished master.
The result is a polished and deeply personal release that draws on his decades of experience as a musician and producer.
Reflecting on receiving his honorary doctorate, Hendricks says: “It’s a dream come true. Receiving this award recognises the decades, years and hours spent doing something that fills my heart with joy, my mind with creativity and my soul with melody. I am humbled by this honour.”
