Carla Franco comments
“In almost every conversation I have, public and private, related to music, you’ll hear me speaking about how South Africa and the world at large really does not comprehend the talent we have, and we often don’t provide platforms for artists who deserve it, The third drop highlights a lot of artists I respect deeply and are dear to my heart.”
Among the standout collaborations on Layers: Layer Three, fans can look forward to Carla Franco’s partnership with Leo Burg on “Bygones”, a song that originated from Leo’s own album. Carla Franco also joined forces with Lungelo Moyo, whom she met at a local live music bar in Pretoria, for the soulful “The Wall.” Sebastian, the rhythmic guitarist for Carla’s band, co-created “Adults,” a song born out of a spontaneous idea during a rehearsal. Pala Chrome, a longstanding collaborator and producer for Carla’s work, teamed up with her under their artist alias for the mesmerizing “Uno.”
