2 weeks ago Karen Zoid released her first album in 7 years, “Drown Out The Noise”. It was one of the most anticipated releases of 2015, shooting up to the number 1 spot on the iTunes SA chart on day 1 of its release.
The album was written and recorded over a period of a year and produced by Theo Crous. I haven’t listened to the whole album yet, but earlier in the week the video for the title track of the album was released, so I got a little taste.
I have to admit that I was expecting the song to be a little bit more upbeat, but then I remembered that Zoid new album’s tone switches dramatically between classic rock arrangements, powerful ballads and deeply moving compositions.
This is the video for “Drown Out The Noise”. It was produced by Brainwave Productions.
This is a pretty neat song, but I have to admit that I am really curious to hear what the rest of the new Karen Zoid album sounds like, it might just be interesting.
