“Berlin” , the latest single from Sakawa Boys, is reminiscent of their early work and tells a story that many in the artistic community will find relatable.
The song, humorously born from a joke about Cape Town artists inevitably moving to Berlin. The band noticed that all their housemates had relocated to Berlin, sparking the idea for the song’s pre-chorus.

More info about Sakawa Boys
Sakawa Boys began in late 2013 and blossomed into a musical project that played live and released music in the years between 2013-2017.
Named for the infamous Ghanaian email scammers, from the outset the band’s ambition has been to seek out a sonic identity which honoured their favoured musical traditions without becoming derivative.
The four-piece makes good on that promise with new music that is being released after a hiatus for the past seven years.
The sound of Sakawa Boys circa 2024 is therefore also the sound of the coming back together of individuals who are drawn to making music together.
