Political Hip Hop Emcee Oliver Pulfer, known by his stage name The Disciple, makes a powerful comeback with his latest release, a thought-provoking rap song titled “Bottom of Society.” This hard-hitting track delves into politically charged themes and sheds light on the struggles faced by marginalized communities worldwide.

More info about The Disciple

Born in 1988, in Bern, Switzerland, Oliver Pulfer discovered his passion for rap music and Hip Hop culture at a young age. Fuelled by his international spirit and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures, he began crafting his own rhymes in English during his teenage years.

The Disciple

With a growing interest in global affairs and international history, he eventually adopted the moniker “The Disciple,” symbolizing his role as a messenger disseminating the messages and teachings he derived from his extensive reading.

The Disciple draws inspiration from left intellectuals such as Jean Ziegler, Noam Chomsky, and pan-African leaders, molding his lyrics to address issues of Western exploitation in third-world countries, international politics, and revolutionary concepts.

The Disciple in Black

In recent years, Oliver Pulfer has been diligently working on a collection of music in Switzerland, and his lead single, “Metaphysical Disorder,” made waves with its poignant commentary on the genocide of African cultures due to the overwhelming dominance of Western Civilization. The track gained significant traction, receiving airplay on local Hip Hop stations and earning features on both international and local blogs.

Now, The Disciple is set to release his latest single, “Bottom of Society,” which features the captivating Xhosa vocals of Nonkoliseko Somagu.

This Afro-centric track delves into the historical struggle of black men and women who have consistently found themselves at the bottom rung of society for the past 500 years.

Through compelling examples like Gandhi, Obama, and Barhelomé De Las Casas, The Disciple highlights the persistent marginalization faced by the black community. It is important to note that the song is not intended to be against any specific group but rather presents historical facts with a humanistic perspective.

As The Disciple continues to champion human rights and social justice through his music, he invites listeners to engage in the dialogue surrounding these pressing issues. His previous track and the upcoming release aim to sensitize people to the enduring struggles faced by marginalized communities, fostering a greater understanding and empathy in the process.
