The Incidentals are an acoustic folk-rock trio from Cape Town comprising of Chris on guitars and vocals, Brad on bass and Dave on vocals and drums. Today sees the release of their debut single “Trippin’ on Tar”, a song about falling into the perils of modern everyday life.
Songwriter Chris Haw explains “Trippin’ on Tar”
“This song is about freedom. Stuck on our phones and immersed in our work – predictability sets in. Time seems to slip through our fingers and life starts feeling shorter. There the wilderness allows us to face ourselves and come to terms with our limitations. But like the life left behind, after a while the road also becomes cyclical and weary…”
