After months of anticipation, Katy Perry has released “Watch It Burn” globally. Accompanied by a stunning new music video that picks up exactly where her previous track, “bandaids,” left off, the song serves as a razor-sharp, emotionally unfiltered anthem about what happens when years of silence and people-pleasing finally snap.
At its core, “Watch It Burn” gives listeners permission to feel anger honestly and stop minimizing pain. Produced by a powerhouse team including Justin Tranter, Jason Gill, Eren Cannata, and Daniel Crean, the track fuses Perry’s signature soaring vocals with raw vulnerability and explosive catharsis.
The music video, directed by Christian Breslauer, premiered on MTV Live, MTVU, and the Paramount Times Square billboards.
