San Diego-based hard rock powerhouse Latex Grenade has officially unleashed their latest sonic assault with the release of a blistering new single and accompanying music video titled “Suffer”.
This aggressive, high-voltage track serves as the definitive latest offering from their highly anticipated upcoming studio album, Bee Miner.

Known for their volatile and explosive blend of raw punk energy, thrash-infused guitar riffs, and undeniable hard rock hooks, the trio has spent over a decade building a reputation as one of the most relentless and uncompromising exports of the Southern Californian underground rock scene.
This release marks a massive turning point for the group. Having already released six studio albums and toured extensively across the United States and South Africa, this latest chapter signals a significantly darker, sharper, and more refined evolution in their songwriting.
Bee Miner arrives as the band’s first full-length collection in eight long years, serving as a powerful, post-pandemic body of work deeply rooted in themes of human adversity, survival, and long-term personal struggle.
The record was brought to life in collaboration with longtime creative partner Theo Crous, famous for his work with Springbok Nude Girls. Crous helped the band capture the immense emotional weight and sonic intensity that has defined the Latex Grenade journey throughout their career.
“Suffer” as a Statement of Intent
Written during the final stages of the album’s production, “Suffer” quickly crystallized into a defining statement for the band’s comeback. “This one came out very naturally,” explains vocalist and guitarist Geoff Davis. “We hadn’t really written a song in a couple years, but once the creative momentum returned while finishing the album, this track flowed easily. It became the perfect statement to us and the world that Latex Grenade is back.”
At its heart, “Suffer” functions as a powerful, modern anthem regarding individual resilience and the conscious choice to maintain a positive outlook in the face of overwhelming global negativity.
Davis notes, “The main premise of the song is really about reaching the point where enough is enough. You can’t control everything happening around you, but you can control your outlook. The question becomes: can you still find happiness even when everything around you seems to be suffering?”

Global Recording Sessions and Stripped-Back Power
The recording process for “Suffer” was a massive logistical undertaking that stretched across two different continents.
The drum tracks were captured at the renowned Bellville Studios in Cape Town, South Africa, with Theo Crous overseeing the sessions, while the remainder of the production and tracking was completed at The Counterflow Haus in San Diego, California.
The band made a conscious, artistic decision to strip the final arrangement back, ensuring that the impact and power of every individual note were maximized.
“We wanted every hit, every lyric and every instrument to matter,” says Davis. “The less clutter there is, the bigger and louder the song becomes.” Musically, the track successfully balances raw, driving aggression with soaring melodic hooks, with the unforgettable chorus serving as the structural foundation for the writing process.
A Legacy Defined by “Latex Grenade Does Not Quit”
Since their formation in 2009, Latex Grenade has evolved through multiple line-up iterations and significant stylistic transformations, eventually perfecting their signature blend of heavy hard rock and punk urgency.
Over their career, they have performed in over 27 states during various national tours, headlined performances at SXSW in Austin, and completed a prestigious South African tour alongside the legendary rock outfit Springbok Nude Girls during their Beautiful Evolution Tour.
Latex Grenade‘s collective experiences on the road, combined with years of professional growth, personal adversity, and constant reinvention, have culminated in the creation of Bee Miner.
When asked to summarize the essence of their long-awaited comeback album and the spirit that keeps them moving forward, the band offers five simple, definitive words: “Latex Grenade Does Not Quit.”
