Today sees the release of Albert Frost’s new single, “I’m still here”. It’s a high energy rock song about surviving life in music, keeping the spirit alive by giving it all.

For the past two decades this energetic performances of SAMA award winning blues/rock guitarist/singer has captured audiences worldwide.

Albert Frost - I'm Still Here

Albert Frost comments on “I’m Still Here”

“It’s a celebration of the passion for what we do, an affirmation of purpose. A promise to keep believing and doing what we do no matter what.”

Dubbed the “South African Hendrix”, Albert Frost deftly alternates between rhythm and lead, showcasing his extraordinary skills on the acoustic and electric guitars. His first love is the Blues, stemming from the influence of his long relationship with the Blues Broers, a well-known and respected group from Cape Town with whom he has performed since 1994 at the age of 17.

In 2000 Frost became one of the first Fender endorsees in South Africa and has been linked with the brand ever since. April 2016 saw the release of his much anticipated third solo album, The Wake Up. The album won Best Rock Album at the 2017 South African Music Awards.

After a very successful 2017 Klein Karoo National Arts Festival, Frost was nominated for a Kanna award as well as a kykNET Fiëstas 2018 for the Best Music Production for the two shows: with Loki Rothman (The Acoustic Guitar) and with Zolani Mahola (Rok en Rol).

Over the years Albert has supported and toured with the likes of Simple Minds, REM, Ali Farka Touré and the Rolling Stones as well as performing at respected festivals like Oppikoppi, The Ilse Of Wight and Hard Rock Calling. His patent enjoyment of the music he performs and his instruments as well as his charming rapport with the audience, keeps his admirers captivated and returning for more.

The video for “I’m Still Here” is about the artists’ muse. Albert is frustrated and constantly trying to break through to her to release that artistic creativity. At the end of the video they finally find each other.

This dose of rock ‘n roll is just what the doctor ordered. If Frost is going to be releasing an album in the near future, I’ll definitely be cranking it up. “I’m Still Here” is available to stream / download on all major music streaming platforms.
