It turns out that in July 2020, a vulnerability was discovered in the project’s code that allowed scammers to go beyond the maximum limit of 5,000 new RVNs per block and create extra coins. The vulnerability prevented fraudsters from stealing other people’s coins from wallets or using them in any way. But instead, they created or minted the coins that shouldn’t have existed.
The developers emphasize that due to the sales and transfers of new RVNs, they have already mixed with other coins. Therefore, it will not be possible to get rid of the “illegitimate” RVNs at the software level, since the owners of other coins will suffer because of that. Now there is no threat to other users: the balances of the network participants are safe; nothing will happen to them.
Further plans of the developers include not only the optimization and technical completion of the project, but also the promotion of the best features of this crypto network among the global crypto community. In addition, the creators of this cryptocurrency platform have already proven the seriousness of the implemented approach, striving to make it very fast, convenient and private for clients.
