Nintendo’s latest Direct was packed with reveals, updates, and release dates for both Nintendo Switch 2 and the original Switch. Here’s a rundown of everything shown.
The Big Reveals at Nintendo Direct
The headline announcement was The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, a reborn version of the beloved Nintendo 64 classic coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch 2 in 2026.
Also making waves was KINGDOM HEARTS IV, the long-awaited next chapter in Square Enix’s action RPG series, arriving on Switch 2 at launch – and for those wanting to catch up, KINGDOM HEARTS Collection [I~III] drops October 8th with a demo available now.
FromSoftware surprised fans with The Duskbloods, a multiplayer action game pitting up to eight players against each other with blood-based powers, launching exclusively on Switch 2 in 2026, with a closed network test coming this summer.
Xenoblade fans got two pieces of news: Xenoblade Genesis, a brand new entry in the series arriving in 2027, and an enhanced Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition launching today digitally.

Nintendo Originals
Nintendo Switch Sports Resort returns to Wuhu Island with 12 sports and Joy-Con 2 motion controls, launching October 22nd exclusively on Switch 2. Rhythm Paradise Groove brings over 80 solo rhythm games and 30-plus multiplayer modes to Switch on July 2nd, with an unlockable Beatspell mode as a bonus.
Star Fox gets a cinematic remake of Lylat Wars with overhauled visuals, full voice acting, and online multiplayer, launching June 25th with a free demo available now. Splatoon Raiders shifts to single-player treasure-hunting action, launching July 23rd.
Third-Party Highlights
Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave introduces four new heroes and a brand new story, landing September 17th on Switch 2. Onimusha: Way of the Sword brings dark samurai action set in a fantasy Kyoto to Switch 2 on September 25th. DELTARUNE Chapter 5 arrives as a free update on June 24th for both Switch and Switch 2.
FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE – the first HD-2D entry in the Final Fantasy franchise – launches October 22nd, complete with classic characters like Cloud and Terra as recruitable party members.
Other notable titles include Metaphor: ReFantazio (November 12th), Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen (October 9th), Lies of P: Complete Edition (August 5th), Rayman Legends Retold (October 1st), and Stellar Blade (2026).
Pokémon and Minecraft
Pokémon Pokopia gets a free August update adding underwater exploration via the new Dive move, alongside a paid Expansion Pass. Minecraft on Switch 2 comes enhanced with the Vibrant Visuals upgrade, the Super Mario Mash-Up Pack, and save data transfer from the original Switch version.
Coming Soon
A handful of titles are either already available or just around the corner: Devil May Cry 5 Devil Hunter Edition (June 23rd), Orbitals (September 3rd), Big Walk from the creators of Untitled Goose Game (August 4th), RuneScape: Dragonwilds (September 15th), and DRAGON QUEST MONSTERS: The Withered World (December 3rd).
