Jamie-Lee Sexton has released a brand new single entitled “Stand Up”. Yes folks, after 4 consecutive hit singles, a number 1 album debut on Apple Music and 2 Basadi Music Awards nominations, SA’s female pop music force leaves the best ’til last as she releases the final single from her stellar EP Medicine Woman. And it’s a titan-of-a-song.

An addictive 80s-inspired backbeat, rapid fire lyrics, colourful melodic hooks and a satisfying gut-punch chorus will all leave you wanting more.
The music video encompasses the story of the songs in the album whilst taking the viewer on the ride from the early stages in studio, to various shoots, behind the scenes and finally to the album launch that signifies the end of this album’s journey, but the beginning of Jamie-Lee’s new body of work that will be released later this year.

Jamie-Lee Sexton is a South African singer best known as one of the Top 14 finalists on the sixth season of the M-Net reality competition Idols, in 2010. Jamie-Lee appeared on Idols 3 in 2005 (under the name Jamie-Lee Blokdyk), making the Top 12 at the age of 17.
