With the release of the chart-topping German duo Milky Chance‘s acclaimed album, Living In A Haze and the biggest tour of their career, 2023 was a monumental year for them!

Their 4th album Living In A Haze, featuring the globally acclaimed hits “Colorado,” “Synchronize,” and “Living In A Haze,” charted around the world including Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the US, Canada, France, and beyond on its release.

Milky Chance & The Beaches

It quickly amassed over 500 million streams as the band embarked on their biggest tour ever, spanning 65 cities across North America and gracing iconic venues like Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheater. Their tour included a stop in South Africa where they played in Johannesburg, Cape Town & Durban.

New music is on the horizon for Milky Chance in 2024, but first, they’ll revisit “Living In A Haze” with a fresh spin from Canada’s The Beaches.

The Beaches, who like Milky Chance are a band of childhood friends, bring a feminine perspective to their new verse, proving that wishing you could be a “disco boy” is a state of mind.

Milky Chance commented on the colab

“We are very happy that The Beaches decided to jump on ‘Living In A Haze’ and give it an extra musical kick. There was so much love from Canada for this song, so to have such a cool Canadian band come on the track is perfect. We are thrilled by how great Jordan’s voice sounds on the song, how the collaboration fits together, and how they have lyrically given the disco boy a female empowerment touch.”

The Beaches commented on the colab

“We are so excited to be collaborating with Milky Chance on their song ‘Living in a Haze.’ This song is so infectious, and it was so cool to be featured on this remix. Hopefully our version makes it feel like summer is right around the corner.”

More info about Milky Chance

Hailing from Kassel, Germany, childhood friends Clemens Rehbein and Philipp Dausch founded the band, catapulting to international stardom with their breakout hit, “Stolen Dance,” a chart-topping and platinum-certified sensation that became one of the most Shazamed songs of all time!

With over 8 billion career streams and a resilient transition to full independence in 2021, Milky Chance has solidified their global presence. Across four album releases, they’ve cultivated an immense following, navigating an ever-changing music industry landscape.

Their remarkable journey includes headline performances at renowned festivals such as Coachella, Reading & Leeds, and Lollapalooza, captivating audiences from the US, Canada, and Mexico to the EU, Australia, and beyond.

More info about The Beaches

The Beaches are doing everything their way. After more than a decade together as a band, sisters Jordan Miller (lead vocals, bass) and Kylie Miller (guitar), plus closest friends Leandra Earl (guitar and keys) and Eliza Enman-McDaniel (drums), are entering a new era.

On the new album Blame My Ex, the 2x Juno Award-winning Toronto band channels heartbreak into self-discovery through 10 exuberant songs that revel in pain and redemption.

The lead single, “Blame Brett,” an acerbic pop-rock knockout Jordan calls “a song for all the hot messes out there,” has racked up over 30 million streams on Spotify and over 10 million views on TikTok.

The track peaked at #2 on Spotify’s US Viral chart, #20 at Alternative Radio in the US and #1 at Alt Radio in Canada for 13 consecutive weeks, making it the biggest alternative radio hit of the year. Mark Hoppus (blink-182), Nelly Furtado, and Demi Lovato are all fans of the track.

Since the success of Blame Brett, The Beaches sold out their worldwide Blame My Ex tour, including Toronto’s Massey Hall x2 (5400 tickets), Vancouver’s Orpheum (2750 tickets), Brooklyn’s Williamsburg Music Hall x2 (1300 tickets), Los Angeles’s Troubador x2 (1000 tickets) & London, UK’s Outernet (1300 tickets).
