Norwegian artist, songwriter, and jazz musician Ingrid Saga, hailing from a small town in Norway, earned a talent scholarship at the Umbria Jazz Festival, which led her to the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston. This opportunity opened doors to the international music scene.

After four years of rigorous studies, Ingrid recorded her debut album, The Space Between, collaborating with musicians, sound engineers, and producers from around the globe. Notably, she worked with South African producer/engineer Ciaran De Chaud and Grammy-winner Larry Klein.

The album, boasting 306,496 streams and inclusion in 314 Spotify playlists, including several notable editorial playlists, garnered widespread acclaim. The release was celebrated with sold-out shows at “Becco” in Oslo and “The Note Jazz Club” in Sandefjord, Norway.

Ingrid Saga’s collaboration with Ciaran De Chaud has been a defining moment in her career, showcasing her international appeal and versatility. This partnership brought together two talented individuals from different parts of the world, blending diverse musical influences and expertise.

Ciaran De Chaud, who began his journey in Johannesburg, South Africa, has established himself as a highly regarded audio engineer.

From his early days in live music to becoming a sought-after professional in top recording studios, his career is marked by inspiration and achievement. His work includes composing and producing music for TV commercials and collaborating with international artists.

The project has received critical acclaim and notable recognition on platforms like NRK Vestfold & Telemark, reaching a wide audience. Ingrid Saga’s career is filled with significant accomplishments, including performances at iconic venues such as NOVA Spektrum and Oslo Spektrum, as well as collaborations with artists like Lewloh.

Her participation in major events like the “She Conference” and the FjordJazz festival highlights her dedication to meaningful causes and her ability to connect with audiences worldwide.

A career milestone was her performance at the By The Pond festival in June 2024, where she shared the stage with renowned artists like Lenny Kravitz and Susanne Sundfør.

Ingrid Saga’s music is born from a deep desire for expression and connection. Her songs feature vivid storytelling, soaring melodies, and unexpected harmonic shifts, creating a unique musical landscape.

Her sound transcends genres, cultures, languages, and styles—“her music is boundless,” as Norwegian music critic Tor Hammerø described in his album review.

Ingrid Saga’s songs are like postcards from the various places she’s visited, the experiences she’s had, and the people she’s encountered.

Scandinavian summer nights, rainy days in Boston, the endless hum of Californian highways, French cafés, laughter, the cold solitude of big cities, and the eternal longing—for something, for someone.

The Space Between is available for streaming on Spotify and all other major music streaming platforms.
