Jethro Tait has already given fans the music video and lyric video for his first independent single release “Will You Stay”. With the single climbing the charts across several local radio stations, today he shares the very special acoustic version of the single along with the release of the acoustic video.
The acoustic version gives a glimpse into how the song was written. Jethro Tait explains
“99% of the time I always write my songs acoustically, so I always like to take them back to where they started. Although I wrote ‘Will You Stay’ on piano I really enjoy playing it on guitar, so I decided to put together this pure acoustic guitar version.”
“The video has a similar setting to the visuals explored throughout the release. I’ve enjoyed playing with the minimalistic approach and exploring outdoor open spaces using the sky as the main visual element.”

Here’s what some music publications are saying about Jethro Tait
“With a vocal tone which alone could speak a thousand words, Jethro Tait is back to fight for his place within the ranks of the male pop balladeers with his sensitive new single, ‘Will You Stay’. Joined by a single shot music video that will make you agree that you’ll never let Jethro’s music leave your playlist.” ChalkPit Records, UK
“Replete with the sort of quintessential lyricism you might find in one of your old dairies, ‘Will You Stay’ delves into the realities of asking for help when you need it. It reads like a love-lorn song but it’s really more of a candid ode to the people who stuck around. So listen a little closer.” Texx And The City, South Africa
“While he [Jethro] admits that opening up about his feelings can sometimes leave him feeling anything but okay, putting all those emotions into song is what he does best, and ‘Will You Stay’” continues to prove that to be true.” Music and Fashion Blog, USA
“‘Will You Stay’ contains a relatable narrative and ear-pleasing vocals that will resonate well with fans of Lauv, Jeremy Zucker, and Alexander 23. The likable tune possesses lush instrumentation flavored with a contemporary-pop vibration.” Bong Mines Entertainment, USA
“The new journey begins with a brand-new track titled ‘Will You Stay’ and, in true Jethro Tait fashion, is a love song filled with emotion, empathy and sees the star continuing on his mission to break the stigma attached to mental health.” The House Of Pop, South Africa
“Overall, ‘Will You Stay’ is a very well-written pop track with heavy lyrical elements. With more independent work now to come from him, we cannot wait to see what is next for Jethro Tait in his incredible and versatile musical journey.” WeAreYMX, UK
