Multiplatinum-certified singer-songwriter Kehlani returns with the premiere of her highly anticipated new single, “Folded,” available everywhere now via Atlantic Records.
A Powerhouse Production Team
Produced by Khris Riddick-Tynes (who also worked on 2024’s GRAMMY® Award-nominated hit “After Hours”), Andre Harris (Alicia Keys, Mary J. Blige), Donovan Knight (Justin Bieber, Jill Scott), and Don Mills (J. Cole, Juice WRLD), “Folded” continues Kehlani’s triumphant late spring momentum.
This follows her bold appearance at the 2025 American Music Awards in Las Vegas, where she was praised by WWD for her shimmering, sinuous fashion. She also earned two major nominations at the BET Awards 2025: “Best Female R&B/Pop Artist” and “Video of the Year” for “After Hours.”
A Voice That Opens Eyes, Minds, and Hearts
Kehlani’s music balances blunt emotional honesty with transcendental expression. Her ability to articulate life, longing, lust, and love through song has positioned her as one of the most captivating voices of her generation. The Bay Area-born artist, a five-time GRAMMY® nominee, creates music that elevates while remaining completely relatable.
Since her 2014 debut, Kehlani’s star has only risen
She’s earned more than 20 gold and platinum RIAA certifications, amassed over 5 billion global streams, and collaborated with a stellar lineup of artists including Cardi B, Post Malone, and Eminem. Her voice has featured on major soundtracks like Suicide Squad: The Album and The Fate of the Furious: The Album.
Kehlani was awarded Billboard’s “Rule Breaker Award” and has graced stages from Coachella to Voodoo Music Festival. Her 2020 album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t peaked at #2 on the Billboard 200 and was featured on over a dozen year-end best-of lists.
CRASHing Into New Heights
Her 2022 album blue water road featured Justin Bieber and Blxst, and by 2024, Kehlani had fully dominated the music conversation. Her fourth full-length project, CRASH, earned a GRAMMY® nomination for “Best Progressive R&B Album.” The standout single “After Hours” also scored a nomination for “Best R&B Performance” and racked up over 170 million streams.
Headlining Success and Genre-Spanning Impact
Kehlani sold out her biggest tour to date, captivating more than 150,000 fans across venues such as Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, San Francisco’s Chase Center, and Los Angeles’ Kia Forum. She also featured on Jordan Adetunji’s viral hit “Kehlani,” securing yet another GRAMMY® nomination — her third in the “Best Melodic Rap Performance” category.
Her 2024 mixtape While We Wait 2 only added to the momentum, laying the foundation for more innovative music ahead.
